Learn how traditional maille was made at Chepstow Castle this summer!

Discover how the rings were ‘woven’ together, and see the traditional tools and techniques needed to create these protective garments worn by those brave enough to step onto the battlefield in the Middle Ages.

Our resident expert will be on-hand to give informal talks and demonstrations throughout the day. Replicas of mail from different historical periods will also be on show for you to try on!
